Black is a well known cultural and artistic signifier of rebellion whilst
at the same time indicating general deficiency and lifelessness. Likewise the
blob-shape, in all its formlessness, might serve as a signal of missing
information and thus the encounter of the unknown. Both shortages may naturally
induce fear as representation of absence and in the end of death. How do we
cope with acknowledging life’s basic nature as a dead end combined with a
general lack of underlying meaning?
