I am an abstract I+II b

I am an abstract, 2016

Dikemark Psychiatric Hospital

A site specific installation made out of two abstract figures painted directly on the wall. The combination of a graphically abstracted expression and a strong physical appearance results in a tension between realism and fiction. The work explores the nature of the relationship between the self and reality as interdependent, flexible and abstract. And above all arising from an individual bodily experience.
